All Cougar Final
Both Gloucester teams fought tooth and nail to get to the finals at the tournament in balmy Oswego, Feb. 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. The Novice B1 and Novice B2 teams met in the first game and battled to a scoreless draw; a first in tournament history. Each team went their separate way compiling winning records to set up the final. Both teams worked hard in the final and thanks to a stellar TEAM performance including B2 goalie Danik Gervais, a strong defence, and a power house offense, the Novice B2 team took the championship game 4-1. Championship goals were scored by Owen Leroux, Carter Brand, Steven Ainsworth and Jacob LeGuerrier for Novice B2 TEAM. The performance at the Oswego tournament is a testament to the outstanding hockey program in Gloucester as our Novice B teams finished 1st and 2nd and the Novice A team also finished in first. Thanks to all the coaches, managers, volunteers and parents who made the week-end a fantastic experience for the kids.
